The die-cut lightbulb illuminates the hidden story of the band. It grants light to the rest of the book, and is the portal by which the gaze of the viewer must travel. If the music could paint I imagine it would look something like this.
I crafted the binding of the book using a variation of Japanese stab binding to really give it a sense of elegance to contrast the color scheme. The colors are based on the fact that the tour will be across the desert states of the U.S. (NM, AZ, CA, UT, etc.) I wanted solid and bright colors like blue and orange to give it a very graphic feel while at the same time, having delicate features to communicate the message and tone of the band.
